Over my lifetime, I’ve seen millions and millions of cans—most of them when I was still just a teenager.
In the small, rural community where I grew up in Southern Minnesota, turning 16 meant you could work at the local vegetable canning factory. For those of us raised in a farming town, it was considered a step up from laboring out in the fields under the hot, blistering sun. At least it was indoors. While there was no air conditioning, it offered welcome relief from the harsh summer heat.
We worked in 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Every two weeks, we’d flip-flop our hours. It didn’t leave much room for anything else, but it was a good way to save money for college. Our days (or nights) passed as can after can rolled down the line, filled with corn or peas. Millions of them.
Today, we still deal with "canned" experiences—especially when it comes to financial advice.
Some financial advisors start your meeting with a series of canned questions handed down from companies that have built rigid, repeatable processes. Everything is canned. Everything is processed.
Unfortunately, the recommendations you receive are often just as pre-packaged. Rarely do you encounter advice that feels truly customized to your unique life, goals, and circumstances. But isn’t that what you’re really looking for?
If all you want is canned advice, you could just fill out a form online and let an AI tool do the rest: your age, your risk tolerance, your retirement target, and how much you want to save. It’s all just math. Efficient? Sure. Personal? Not even close.
Imagine going to a gourmet restaurant only to discover the chef is using canned ingredients. Disappointed? Probably. That’s because people crave authenticity. They want something fresh and made just for them. That’s the beauty of farm-to-table dining—ingredients grown within a few miles of where your meal is prepared and served.
At Financialoscopy®, we don’t serve up financial advice like a drive-thru restaurant. In fact, we’re intentionally selective. Every client begins with a compatibility assessment to ensure that you “get us” and we “get you.” It has to be a fit—for both sides.
There are no canned questions. No scripts. I enjoy watching the reactions of my team members in client meetings because even they don’t know what I’m going to ask next.
There is no preset formula. If there were, we’d just hand you a manual and let you follow it on your own. But you’re here because you want something different—something original.
What’s more unique than The Financialoscopy® Team? The team that literally gloves up to do their work.
If you're tired of canned responses, canned questions, and canned answers, it’s time to schedule your Financialoscopy®.
