You will either know what this is…intimately, or not…
Most people over the age of 50 should be familiar with this little jug, and I’d like to use this today to talk about Appointment Preparation at the Financialoscopy® Lab.
This jug is used for a certain procedure. If you’re over the age of 50, the appointment prep can take about 3 days. This jug contains: sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, etc. and you get to drink it in a very short period of time to get ready for a procedure that usually happens later in life to make sure that you are cancer-free in that area of your body.
In addition to the jug, for 2 days beforehand, you can only eat limited types of food like rice and bananas. Then, the day before, you are on a liquid diet – broth, popsicles, coffee, tea, etc. The night before, you get to drink half of that jug over the course of 2 hours. Then, in the morning, you spend 2 hours drinking the other half a few hours before your appointment.
What’s this doing? It’s making sure you are squeaky clean so the doctors can do their job to make certain that you are cancer-free, and ultimately, so you can live a long and healthy life.
While I was preparing for my most recent procedure, I had a lot of time on my hands. So, I did a Google search wondering how many people do not do their prep work correctly. I was surprised to see it was as high as 25%. Why would you come unprepared and have to start over from square one again? The day of my appointment, I brought this up to the prep nurse, and they said it’s way above 25%, in their opinion.
But it’s not even that hard? They give you clear instructions – Do this. Don’t do that. Don’t eat this now. Don’t eat this now. Drink this now. If you’re not ready, you have to do the appointment prep all over again.
Appointment Prep is also important at the Financialoscopy® Lab.
We know that, sometimes, we do request a lot of information, but at least you never have to drink a jug of Golytely here! You never have to go through a couple of days without real food! The “prep” really isn’t that difficult, and it allows us to run some analysis, some tests. That way, when you come for your procedure at our Lab, you can get the best information that we can provide to you based on the materials that you have provided ahead of time.
Why do we call ourselves ‘Financialos-copists’ and why do we ask people to ‘Schedule your Financialoscopy®’?
We go where many advisors do not wish to go. We’re looking at the entirety of your life. We are looking at where you want to be at the end of your life. We want you to live as full and enduring a life as possible. The only way we can do that is by you making sure that all of your prep has been done.
When we ask for information, it’s not just to entertain us. It’s not just to fill out some forms. It’s to make sure that we have the correct information to help you achieve the life that you’ve always dreamed of.
Help us help you prepare for your life and any hiccups that may come along the way. You do that by properly preparing for your scheduled Financialoscopy®.
