Reaching the Retirement Moon

Fun Facts - The moon is 238,885 miles from the Earth.

The moon spins on its axis every 27.32 days, while the Earth spins on its axis every day at 1,000 miles per hour, and while that’s happening, the moon revolves around the Earth at 2,288 miles per hour.

At the same time, the Earth, together with the moon, is revolving around our sun at 67,000 miles per hour. All the while, our Earth, its moon, and the sun all together are hurling through our galaxy at 448,000 miles per hour. Hopefully dodging asteroids, comets, and space junk.

So, here’s the question – with all of these moving parts, how many miles do you need to travel to get from planet Earth to the moon safely?

When planning for retirement, most people believe that getting from point A to point B is a pretty straight shot.
