A Timepiece
I look at this old pocket watch occasionally. It hasn’t worked for years. It stopped at exactly seven hours, eight minutes, and ten seconds.
When I hold it in my hand, I remember my great uncle Germain — his character, his stories, and the quiet strength he carried through life. But in today’s world, this frozen timepiece reminds me of something else entirely: how many people approach retirement as if it’s a finish line where everything simply stops.
